I don’t know why anyone who likes this doesn’t like FOAM. This sounds like a FOAM song. It’s just as bad.
New song isn’t bad, but it’s not preferred. Sounds like a mix of the Trilogy and a bit of the 21CB quirkiness to me. I still like Pollyanna more.
To be fair, Butch did post about starting work on the next Green Day record so it is possible that this is new. I hope they end up doing the next one with Butch because FOAM fucking rocks.
Yeah exactly this. It sounds like one of the good trilogy songs, like Stray Heart. Regardless of whether or not it came from the same sessions, it sounds literally nothing like FOAM. Which is probably why it, you know, was left off FOAM lol
Outside of the weird claps which come out of nowhere towards the end, this sounds like an even more power pop-y version something off of Tre (which is already power pop leaning to begin with), with some of the initial harmonies and chords sounding like they could fit on 21CB. I don't remember much of FOAM at this point, but this sounds nothing like the faux-"edgy" garage rock inspired stuff that I remember from that one. Maybe I can hear some similarities with songs like "Graffitia" and "Meet Me On The Roof", but I think this is more interesting than either of those. Still don't love it, but I think it's pretty decent
Song is pretty fun. It's better than Here Comes the Shock but not as good as anything on FOAM or Pollyanna.
Tré's my favorite of the trilogy and quite possibly my favorite album of theirs in 12 years (RevRad never did much for me). Which isn't saying much but I don't particularly think that there's anything bad about it
I would rather listen to this song all day for the rest of my life than have to be subjected to anything off of FOAM.
I've been listening through everything up to (and including) Warning today. What a fantastic run of albums. I'm currently on Warning. I already knew I loved those albums but it has been a while since I've listened to them chronologically.
