Hate to Say I Told You So is a great song, The Hives are great, and FOAM is a steaming pile of shit.

I think I bought two Hives albums. Never listened to them a ton and probably not in fifteen years or whatever, but I'd listen to each one 30 times before I listen to FOAM again once

they're honestly a top 5 punk band of the mid 00s-10s

 

How did the Hives even come up? Did someone point out how this album would've been way better with Swedish songwriters they were so proud they didn't use?

 

I don't even hate this album really, but now I want a Max Martin-produced Green Day album. I mean, he's produced Refused so it isn't a stretch at all.

i was glancing at the thread because I'm doing a discography run through and there are multiple posts about how much this album sounds like a bad attempt at the hives' sound

 

Green Day already did the 2000's garage sound pretty well too.

 

I'm not trying to make a joke here, but I was seriously thinking about Green Day yesterday and how their last album was Revolution Radio - obviously, I was wrong. I saw this thread being bumped and realized I completely forgot about FOAM. lol

These guys need a followup album sooner rather than later. Oh my.

 

This is still my fav album of theirs since American Idiot, haha.

 

The thing people need to understand is that it's actually a very good album in reality.
