At this point I am far more interested in hearing a Billie solo folk/acoustic release than I am ever hearing another Green Day record.
Nah I think there's a couple in here that could bury you on that hill Or maybe not, it's a small hill
The album is fucking great. Billie said recently they plan on getting back in the studio with Butch Walker when quarantine is over, which makes me super excited.
Did actually listen to it through again for the first time in a while last week and liked it more than I remembered.
This album grew on me a lot and I really like it now and I just paid money for it. I still think Teenager is a weak song though
I hated this at first but I've come around on it now. I think it's about on par with the Trilogy. Meaning, it's still bottom tier Green Day but it's OKAY. I really like Graffitia, I wish more of the album was of that style/quality.
I appreciate it for what it is, but the fact that they want to record more songs with the same producer after the lukewarm reception this got is shocking to me.
Haha I'm sorry if I sounded like that kind of annoying fan. But to be fair, ever since Nimrod they've been rotating producers for every new project. Every time they decided to go to the studio, they did with a different approach than the last time. So in that way, I do think it is surprising they've decided to do this. They seem to be really excited about the music they are making and I guess that's all that matters.
To be fair, they might approach it differently despite it being the same producer. Butch is good for that as well. In fact I'd consider that the outcome that would excite me the most.
I mean, I like this less than the trilogy. I am just incapable of disliking a Green Day record and this has more to do with me than the quality of the record I think hahaha Take the Money and Crawl has become my fav off this
I still really like it, ha. It's this energetic blast of an album that I've found myself playing on runs a lot lately.
