Have to be in the right mood for this one but it really has been a grower. Later Thought Edit: Father of All... reminds me a lot of Big D and the Kids Table “Fluent in Stroll”. Kind of that rhymey throwback style and completely out of left field when compared to their previous releases. But the band wanted to try something different and both of those albums I initially did not like but quickly had them grow on me.
Sounds great. I'd love to hear him branch out into other genres too, like do a Weeknd song or something
The "Otis Big Guitar Mix" of Fell For You has been on Spotify for a while and single-handedly redeemed the song for me so hope these are just as good. Also I don't have the link right now but they've shared a fan-made lyric video for Sugar Youth on their channel
Up on Kingdom Leaks if you want to listen now. Haven’t listened yet but I believe just remixes of those songs. People on the Green Day subreddit say they are great though.
Otis is the name of Billie's studio in Oakland. These mixes are cool! I'm just happy these songs are getting more love.
I did wonder who the hell "Otis" was. Thanks! Anyway, having listened to the three new mixes, none of them are anything ground-breaking and they're unlikely to drastically alter your opinion of the trilogy but they're definitely more interesting versions of the songs because of the prominent guitar hooks. I'd be up for hearing more of these.
These are fine enough, I guess I was expecting more of a departure from the originals but still enjoyable
Love how busy Billie seems to be getting during quarantine He's performing on Jimmy Fallon on Monday too
