Black Parade is close but it only had like 3 songs that were huge. 21P or Imagine Dragons probably the closest since but i honestly DO NOT want to put them in consideration..
Does it still autocorrect to Ronald McDonald? Hope so. Understand why everyone strongly dislikes him here. I rarely watch but when I do VERY rarely agree. He would have to be the most influential critic these days though right? I'd say a Pitchfork BNM would still be more important but maybe not? He seems to have a big and growing following. One thing I don't understand is the people who dislike him because of his politics. Again, I just don't watch/follow him enough to know what he has said and done (so I literally, genuinely don't understand). From what I see he seems very left-wing and supports Bernie on Twitter etc. Anyway I'd give this like a 4-5 but anything under a 6-7 falls in the 'probably not gonna listen to this a lot' category anyway.
Come on man I love having another Green Day stan here to get my back in GD arguments but you can't be posting things like this lol
As a Green Day fan, I always cherish when they put out new music and I always listen, even if my love for them has faded in time and they haven't released anything musically and culturally relevant in 15 years. I appreciate that they tried something new with this one and that they experimented with different sounds and production. I also like the fact that FOAM seems to be a giant middle finger to everyone's expectations of them delivering another socially conscious and politically charged record. But there's nothing really new here. Every idea, every melodic line seems to be borrowed from their back catalogue (side projects included) or rearranged from some classic rock act just to prove the world that they can still rock out even when they're pushing 50s. Sure, after a few listens there are still some fun enjoyable songs (title track, Teenage Teenager, Graffitia for me) but I have no interest in revisit them. No lasting power whatsoever.
I listened to Uno again for the first time in years and actually enjoyed it. Stay the Night is a great song.
not super into this album but it dropping has had me bumping 21st Century Breakdown again I've definitely said it before (probably in this thread) but Billie sounds fucking incredible on that thing His best vocal performance by a mile imo
