The Network album is so underrated, Roshambo is such a genuinely incredible song

Yeah, after my first full listen I'm gonna immediately go off on a limb and say that I already know this is better than the Trilogy, or at least much more enjoyable to me. For me, this album has a much clearer vision of what it wants to be, it doesn't overreach in the ways those albums did, and the songs are much stronger. Definitely don't expect everyone to be on board, but I enjoy this.

  8. Why would you listen to a vinyl rip why do you hate yourself

Haha curiosity got the best of me tbh. I rarely listen to rips nowadays, I'm waiting on Tame Impala's album because the quality of the leak is too bad... but this is actually a fairly "good" vinyl rip to my ears at least. Certainly isn't ideal quality but I just wanted to get a taste haha will probably just listen once then wait til the release.

Haha oh I know. I took the only comment I saw repeated as possibly having any truth, other than that I ignore most everything haha.

I assume there'll be one pretty soon if vinyl is out there, right?

I mean I'm listening but this doesn't sound very good haha

The singles have grown on me a bit. Sugar Youth is a fun song. Every other one is terrible.

Based on one listen, the album isn't absolutely terrible, but man the songs they chose to release ahead of time were awful choices. There are a handful of songs that are at least better than a lot of the trilogy.

Turn Me Loose is the best Longshot song imo

The Longshot is still so good. It’s helping me be more open minded about this new album. If anything I just want to have fun with this album and not take it too seriously.

Billie doesn’t sound like himself in the new songs, which is a huge reason why I hesitate to call it Green Day. At the end of the day, this direction was a long time coming given the sound bleeding through on the trilogy and RR - along with side projects.

What the actual shit. I’ve never heard The Network album until just now. Idk how I never heard about it. It’s really good and super fun.

My friend got it today and we listened...initial thoughts were that it was a really fun listen and better than what I was expecting. I can’t wait to listen again bc all i really remember was the second half was wayyyy better than the first half.
