They never stopped being and doing that in Europe. Did they fall off in the US?

 

Nah they still regularly sell out arenas when they go on tour. Not quite stadiums but still probably one of the most popular "rock" bands in the country

 

Thanks. I figured that whatever decline they’re feeling is more due to the relative decline of rock as a popular genre than anything else.

 

Despite how incredibly lukewarm I am about these songs, which is an odd feeling because I've loved Green Day so fiercely for like 90% of my life, every day that passes I get more and more excited to see my favorite band of all time in August

The Longshot album is still pretty cool.
The Foxboro Hottubs album is still pretty cool.

So far i think these songs would go well as a follow up to Foxboro Huttubs.


Idk why it bothers me so much that the Garage rock style of music is under the Green Day name in this new album lol.

 

Overhearing my tech support coworkers talk about music always drives me crazy. Here’s what I heard today...

1: Hey, do you listen to pop bands like One Direction?
2: Yeah sometimes
1: Like who?
2: Green Day

 

Honestly, the weirdest part of that exchange is someone using One Direction as the first example of a pop band in 2020

 

Judging from all of his other music conversations, he only really listens to rap. So yeah, he’s a bit out of touch. They all are. Haha.

 

I constantly see pop-punk fans on the internet somehow convinced that hip-hop fans are closed-minded when it comes to music but in reality if they even hear one trap beat or rap verse in their pop-punk they go berserk

 

Apparently some people are furious because Billie said "fuck" like five times during their performance at the NHL All Star game lol

 

I was talking about this with some people at a bar the other night, they all thought it was hilarious

Edit: I should clarify, this was a little hole in the wall place and the people I was talking to were like 60+ year old hockey fans

 

Yeah as a hockey fan, I haven't seen anybody be anything that I'd label as furious, mostly just bemused. I think the NHL is probably pissed, especially since they signed them to some 2 year contract, but even they haven't really done/said anything publicly.

 

I still want a follow up to The Network.

Yup. As a big Sabres fan of 25 years I never cared for him haha
