We're in single digits, y'all. I am so excited to go to a concert again, and this is going to be one hella mega good choice for my first show back.
I don’t think I can go to this anymore (all *three* people who were supposed to come with me bailed…and I bought them the tickets as gifts LOL) but I’m still excited to see what the sets are when it starts!
It's none of my business obviously but if you're psyched for the show, I am a big fan of going to shows alone and definitely recommend it. Majority of shows I've gone to in my life are by myself and the experience is usually preferable unless I'm going with other people who are JUST as psyched to be there.
Oh I’m totally considering it! The only thing is, one of the people I was supposed to go with is my now ex, and we were pumped for this show for 2 years…so I’m still trying to figure out if I could get through it without being sad the whole time lol. TMI!
Has anyone heard where they're doing production rehearsals for this? Usually tours this size spend a week in an empty stadium getting everything ready.
If FOB & Weezer are already in NYC for GMA, it wouldn't surprise me if they're doing it at Meadowlands Arena.
From the GMA footage I saw, looks like they interviewed and performed remotely. My bet is on some place in Southern California since FOB and Weezer are based there and it's an easy place for GD to get to.
Those performances were definitely pre-recorded. Weezer's spot is the same place they've done a lot of TV performances.
They probably start rehearsal in a big warehouse/sound stage but eventually a stadium tour is going to have to rehearse in a stadium. If they’re not doing it in Globe Life Field, I’m thinking there’s probably another stadium in the DFW metroplex that they’ll be rehearsing at this week. ONE. WEEK. Y’ALL.
Yeah it’s pretty common. They also tend to do them in obscure locations too. Iirc, Foo Fighters did a tour rehearsal at an arena in Fresno. Nine Inch Nails also did a warm-up/rehearsal show in Bakersfield a few years back too
Praying that Globe Life Field keeps the roof closed on the stadium for this show. My ass is going to roast in that heat.
Pete posted another photo of them rehearsing on Instagram. The “flamethrower” bass is back and I see other pyro chargers on the stage. They’re rehearsing in an arena *somewhere*
Green Day playing a warm up show at Cain’s in Tulsa tomorrow. Looks like it’s already sold out. Fully vaccinated requirement for this show.
Wonder if Green Day’s setlist for their Tulsa show will be at all similar to what their setlist for the tour will be
