Small club tour surrounded by other die hard Weezer fans? Sure, I'd love to hear deep cuts.
But in an arena/stadium with big stage productions surrounded by 20k+ drunk casual listeners? I'll take the covers. It makes for a fun time.

It was amazing to hear them play You Gave Your Love To Me Softly at MSG a couple years ago. But when absolutely no one around you knows what the hell it is and sit with their arms crossed, it kinda takes away from the moment lol

 

I'd rather hear "Africa" five times in a row live than "King for a Day" once!

 

What if each band plays a cover of the other two? Would that be awful or cool?

 

Cool! But I feel like Weezer and Green Day would love to cover each other more than they would poor FOB.

 

That would’ve been fun for an EP or something to promote the tour

The Offspring/311 did something similar when they did a co-headliner a few years back

 

Weezer actually played a bit of Longview when I saw them in 2019

You're a fool if you think they aren't gonna play Africa to a stadium. I'm gonna hate it in the moment, but I also can't fool myself into being surprised when everyone at Wrigley is wasted and trying to hit the high notes.

Got face value floor tickets to the Dallas show. Pretty excited to have this be my first show back.

 

how much was face value? waiting for these vip pit tickets to be converted to face value ones.

 

These were in F row 17 and were 129.50 face a piece. Seemingly a lot of the resell tickets dropped in price Monday. Over the weekend the nosebleeds were 120 at the cheapest and it looks like they dropped to 90ish so they seem to be slowly going down. I think being the first date has really inflated the Dallas prices.

 

For the Florida shows, pit was around $175-180 plus fees.

 

In Chicago pit tickets were $210

 

I won a pair… pretty geeked

 

Kinda can’t wait to see what the set lists for this are looking like.

Kinda ready to be let down by Green Day only playing 8 songs and a covers medley in 90 minutes. Really hoping for more.

 

Kinda wondering if they're going release set times for this before the tour starts. 18 days to go. Can't wait to die in the pit in Dallas.
