You can still get tickets for Chicago I just tried. Also they’ve said it’s been sold out for like a year plus edit: only single tickets are left for wrigley
Does anybody who has tickets for the DC show know how to look at your tickets? I remember it being through the Nats website and I know for a fact I bought them lol but I want to be able to get to them and look at them on my screen to make myself feel better
I have a friend who is ultra obsessed with Green Day and she heard from someone she calls a reliable source that the GD, FOB, and Weezer are all doing 90 minutes. Could be crap but I thought I'd pass it along.
If they use the revolving stage, 90 minutes could be possible. Even with 10 minutes break inbetween, then it could end at 11 5:30-6:00 - Interrupters 6:00-7:30 - Weez 7:30-9:00 - FOB 9:00-10:30 - Green Day
Was this tour ever actually billed as a triple co-headliner? I don't think I've seen that anywhere. People have just been assuming it is. And I mean, it really kinda is. But assuming that all three bands will both get equal time feels like a stretch. I'd love for each to get 90. But I'm assuming it'll be like, 60-75 for Weezer and Fall Out Boy. With Green Day getting a bit more. But maybe I'm just trying to manage my own expectations and not get over-excited, hah. That revolving stage thing would be awesome.
All three of them getting equal sets would be weird, but I could also see it happening I for sure thought Green Day would get the longer set
I think it's kind of implied. They have never promote it as "Green Day with Fall Out Boy and Weezer" and on the poster the 3 bands has the same font size, just arranged by popularity. Both yeah, I think the same: Weezer and FOB 60-75 and Green Day hopefully 2 hours.
I think there would have to be at least 10-15 minutes between each act. They want people to get up and buy merch/concessions and those are the prime times.
I really don't think all three will get 90. 90 minutes seems long for Weezer (in this setting), Fall Out Boy caps out at 90 minutes for their headliners, and 90 minutes is short for Green Day. I'm thinking this would be more likely... 5:30-6:00 - Interrupters 6:20-7:30 - Weezer 7:50-9:00 - FOB 9:30-11:00 - Green Day
This makes the most sense Green Day only getting 90 minutes still kinda sucks, but getting FOB and Weezer on the bill kinda offsets it lol
I’ve seen Weezer 9 times and I don’t think I’ve ever seen them play a set longer than 75 minutes (encore included).
90 minutes for everyone would be awesome. Weezer would have to play some stuff they don’t usually play, Fall Out Boy could do their thing, and Green Day could play a tight set without all the back and forth with the crowd which takes up way too much time in a 2-2.5 hour set. On the flip side, every first time Green Day concertgoer does deserve to get the complete experience so I wouldn’t begrudge them having a longer set and the other two having shorter sets. The first time I saw Green Day live they played before my favorite band (Blink) and completely stole their thunder. Billie Joe just owned the stage with his theatrics and understanding of what gets people excited at a show. They are a tremendous live band.
interesting. Last Springsteen show I was at in Philly was same venue as this and went passed midnight so I guess Philly isn’t one of them
I would say most outdoor venues have noise/curfew restrictions. Some artists just go ahead and pay the fine and aren’t really concerned with ending on time. The outdoor amphitheater that Green Day has played at in Denver on the last few tours (Fiddlers Green Amphitheatre) has a pretty strict 10:30 pm curfew during the week and 11pm on weekends. Green Day started at like 7:30 on the last tour, and the opener started right after doors to accommodate the early end.
I only see Detroit and Chicago on there unless I'm looking at the wrong thing? I can't even find a place to sign in lol
