I'm gonna guess 6:30-7 Interrupters 7:15-8:15 Weezer 8:30-9:30 FOB 9:45-11 Green Day Or something like that. Will be really weird seeing such a short GD set though
Yeah 20 minutes of their set is gonna be king for a day and Jesus of suburbia. I was thinking the 5:30 on my ticket was showtime and doors were at 4 since they usually do 90 minutes between doors and show for stadium shows I've been to before.
I thought I remembered the Detroit date having doors at like 5 and The Interrupters started at 5:30. If that's the case I think it'll be more like 5:30-6 Interrupters 6:30-7:15 Weezer 7:45-8:45 Fall Out Boy 9:15-11 Green Day
I believe all shows start at 5:30 so this is probably most realistic. Might not be 30 minutes between Interrupters and Weezer and I think Weezer will get a full hour.
Is that a thing that happens at bigger shows like this? I've seen it at festivals over the years but never at a "standard" show.
When I went to the Family Values Tour in 2001 (Stone Temple Pilots, Staind, Linkin Park, Static-X, Deadsy) they used a revolving stage. Keep in mind this was when bands were still selling CD's so...maybe tour budgets were more ambitous then. Ozzfest 2001 also used this if I recall directly (maybe nu metal bands just love revolving stages?)
Both of those were ~20 years ago. Which is actually the same year (2001) I remember seeing one at my local radio station festival when they managed to jam ~11 bands on the same stage throughout the day. That being said, I don't think it would be out of the question here and would be a really, really cool thing as far as maximizing set times go.
The last time I recall seeing a rotating stage in person is Taste of Chaos 2007. In any case, I'm grabbing a couple tickets for Fenway sometime today. Excited that this is actually happening. Haven't seen Green Day since 2005.
You're comparing three of the biggest rock bands of the last 30 years, together on one bill, to a Bleachers show? Of course it will be more expensive.
Sure. I think almost every post of yours in here has been about how much the tickets cost, though. They're going to be expensive because these are popular bands playing stadiums.
I apologize. Its been a while since I dropped that much on a show, a and nowadays I am not just buying 1 ticket for myself, but for my girls if they are going. And for this show in particular, seeing all the Groupons for all the cities except for Boston.... But I can stop discussing the price. We know the cost. And if you take the price, for the 3 (or 4) bands, I know it is worth it. :) Thanks for setting me on the straight and narrow.
Boston must be selling pretty well if there are no Groupons. Usually stadium shows are blowing stuff out on sites like that.
Tickets definitely seem to be selling pretty well. I just took a look to see what popped up and it's mostly obstructed view seating regardless of the section.
Boston is selling well, but there are good seats to be had. Fenway's ticketing system is set to show "best available" based on a Red Sox game, not a concert. If you're still looking, I recommend calling their box office. They can look at section by section.
Planning to grab lawn seats for the Summerfest date today. Seems like a cheaper and more reliable option than dealing with the secondhand market for Wrigley Field.
Two months from TODAY I will be back in a pit for the first time in a year and a half and everything will be okay again.
