Well, this is obviously not a true Green Day headlining tour. How else do you think they can accommodate three headliners plus an opener for a show that starts at 6 pm?
They’re probably going to play a 90 minute greatest hits set. Which is hilarious for the 2 people who are excited to see father off all songs. I bet they play the first three singles max and call it a day on that.
If they really only play 90 minutes I hope they finally drop King for a Day. It's fun but eats up way too much time
I just don’t see it being that short. This is the Green Day world tour for this album cycle. They haven’t waited three years to play 90 minute sets every night.
With four bands on the bill, I don't see them playing any more than an hour and 45 minutes...assuming most shows start at 6, my guess is the set times would be something like: The Interrupters: 6-6:25 Weezer: 6:45-7:45 Fallout Boy: 8:15-9:15 Green Day: 9:45 - 11:30 And 11:30 may be pushing it with outdoor venues in a lot of cities.
Even with a 5:30 start... The Interrupters: 5:30-5:55 Weezer: 6:15-7:15 Fall Out Boy: 7:45-9 Green Day: 9:30-11 Everyone, including Green Day, is making concessions and taking an ego hit to pull off this tour. You want to be back in stadiums? Gotta give a little.
Yeah if you guys think Green Day is doing a traditional 2.5 hour set you're kidding yourself. This is massive packaged tour, at outdoor venues that probably have strict 11pm curfews. They'll do 90 minutes tops.
Most likely doors will be around 4:00. Stadium shows usually have a long delay from doors to show start because of the amount of people they gotta get inside.
I can’t see Green Day getting that much longer than FOB/Weezer. I know Green Day is the biggest band on the bill but the truth is they are all pretty big. I’d say Weezer/FOB get an hour and Green Day gets an hour and a half at most.
Show starts at 5:30 in MN. 5:30-6:00 - Interuppters 6:30-7:30 - Weezer 8:00-9:00 - Fall Out Boy 9:30-11:00 - Green Day Not sure how else it would work
Question for the Chorus.FM peanut gallery, does anyone think a triple threat of Panic At The Disco/Twenty One Pilots/The 1975 could be playing these same ballparks? If so, what order would they go in for a triple headliner and do we think ticket sales would be the same as Hella Mega?
Oh ya 100%. Personally I think Panic! would be top billed but not by much and then top and 1975 definitely first
