    E.T. didn't stick with me as a kid the way Jaws or Jurassic Park or Indiana Jones. For whatever reason, E.T. felt old even though it was newer than Jaws. I think Men in Black had a lot to do with it.

    I knew E.T. would win but I am glad Munich had a strong showing. I feel like that is the Spielberg film having the biggest renaissance recently, since everyone realized the brilliance of A.I.
