    Tough to vote against Raiders - but I couldnt find any reason to vote for it (against Schinders List). :/

    I wonder if we will ever see an "event" film for adults like Schindler's List again. My mother is no cinephile, but I remember her presenting it to me when I was old enough like a sort of sacred text. It wasn't just something we grabbed at Blockbuster. Every Holocaust film I have seen since (with the exception of documentaries) seems pointless in the shadow of Spielberg's film.
