This is all I've listened to since it came out, I've loved a lot of stuff this year but nothings hit me THIS hard. The end of Human Condition is probably my favorite moment on the album rn, seriously fucks me up. Looming in and out Chaos fosters All my darkest intent I hear it calling now “Please just stay here” Do I fade or do I give in Can't get out of bed So I’ll just lay here Slow my mind down
im listening to plastic cough for the first time and i dont like it nearly as much. they really took a huge leap here and cleaned up their sound a lot.
Favorite Show and All Things Must Behave are the two I most return to. I think All Things Must Behave really was kind of a big hint to where they were heading next with this record.
All Things Must Behave is the other one I think is pretty good. There are moments on PC hinting at what would happen here, but Four of Arrows is the clear realization of the band imo.
its a fine record it just struck me how much better this one is. plastic cough is super raw in both sound and in its songwriting with very basic arrangements. this record is extremely intricate and layered and clearly labored over in terms of songwriting
I was a casual fan of Plastic Cough, there's a lot of good, catchy tracks on there. But the jump from that record to this is one of the biggest level ups I can recall in recent memory.
Bloom is legitimately one of the most inspiring songs I’ve ever heard. That Tom Petty line might be my favorite on the record
