Have wanted to get a few listens in before saying anything, but I’ve been jamming the hell out of this for about a week. This record is a ton of fun.

Their version of Atlantic on the Punk goes Acoustic album is really solid. Shows that theyre able to put together interesting arrangements

 

There are a few songs here that remind me a ton of The 1975’s more upbeat stuff that I know you’re gonna dig

 

That’s extremely exciting. From the singles and what you’re saying this seems like it’s going to be a huge step up for them

 

Are the singles pretty representative of what the rest of the record sounds like?

 

I liked the songs I've heard from them in passing but since these 2 singles have been released I've been listening to the band nonstop. So excited for this record now!

 

I would say they’re pretty down the middle with what to expect! Grayscale songs with bigger production and an even poppier flair. Less palm muting and lots more of those cleaned up guitar tones. There are for sure a couple of curveballs here (like the The 1975 stuff I mentioned earlier), but if you like their past stuff and like the singles at all then you’ve got nothing to worry about! I’d rank In Violet towards the bottom, fwiw.

 

In Violet is fantastic so yayyyyy
