That was A LOT more pop than I was expecting lol... but damn it honestly works! Super catchy track.

Ok, I don’t like the track much...but there’s a lot of cool little production moments. And if this is where they’re starting in this big foray into pop, I’m excited for them to develop.

 

Yeah my initial impression was positive but... honestly I feel like they lost a lot of their distinctiveness. That hook especially feels like it could be a million other pop groups.

It’s an okay song I guess, but it’s just not what I wanted from this band. I loved the last two records.

 

first couple seconds remind me of snack attack by a great big pile of leaves lmao. was super on board with this until the chorus. oh man. unfortunate

 

I really like this but I also hope it’s more of a one off rather than a direction they’re taking for a new album.

 

The whole thing isn’t great but the chorus in particular is extremely jarring. Not my flavor at all

 

I actually thought it was fine and that it still had a lot of their particular flavor, especially in the vocals. It really didn't seem that crazy seeing what we got on this record. But I would LOVE if they went down the route they did on the reworked Baby Blue.

 

Listened again this morning and still not a fan, which is a shame because I loved their last album (and previous releases). The prechorus is cool and sounds like it's building up to an awesome chorus but then they go with the weird talking bit.

 

It’s not my favorite song of theirs but I do enjoy it.

They posted on their Instagram stories that this is just a one off song and there’s not a new album coming.

 

Just noticed they deleted all of their IG posts the other day, leaving only one promo image with a caption that says 2021. Not like we couldn’t probably expect new stuff next year anyway but good to know it’s in the works

 

Hope its nothing like Diamond.
