Everyone should make sure to check out rich people on this if they haven't, one of my favorite bands and this is their first tour this big I think
This reminds of another band I can't place right now but I'm liking the sound. Very cool that they are on this bill. I love when smaller bands get their chance.
I don't know if this is considered a hot take or not but I always side eye bands at their level charging for fans to meet them. I've seen other bands at the venue they are playing in Chicago who have met fans right after without charging for it, and I've seen bigger musicians (in general) come out and meet fans for free. Maybe I'm overreacting to this, but what do y'all think? The perks are definitely cool, I just dunno if bands their level should be charging for fans to meet them.
I do think this vip is kind of a lot but when realizing the backpack is probably $40 or so it somewhat makes it justified. I don’t mind buying vip when it is an unique experience, like what This Wild Life is doing with the coffee shop thing. I’m not doing vip this tour so I’m hoping they’ll still hang after.
I think meet and greets in general are not worth it in most cases. If they come with goodies that at least lessens the blow, but I'm kind of in the mindset of The Maine (you shouldn't pay to meet a person). I've always liked the Foo Fighters meet and greet philosophy which is basically "get lucky and come to a bar close to the venue before or after the show". Creates a much better story then dropping some cash to have a 10-15 second interaction that will be very similar to everyone else's 10-15 second interaction.
I get VIP for bands, especially to make money where they can. I personally have only done VIP for the Mayday Parade ALIR 10 year tour, no other VIP has really seemed worth it for me. I am still hoping they hang after the show, I have some vinyl sleeves I want signed lol.
i personally don't feel that the cost of this vip is for the fans to meet them. to me it seems that the vip cost is for all the merch that comes with it and the meet and greet is just a bonus. the only reason it's so pricey is because of the backpack. i mean the upgrade is $65 (i think) which is cheaper than waterparks but the parx one is literally just a m&g
This starts tonight! Bearings dropped 2 new songs today. Interested to see set times and if anyone cares to, set lists too
I’m going next Wednesday and can do set times if no one does before then. I’m hoping setlists will pop up on Twitter/setlist.fm tonight.
made some last minute plans and grabbed tickets to the orlando show this weekend! super stoked for this lineup.
Grayscale Setlist at House of Independents, Asbury Park I may be in the minority but I wish they’d swap Palette for something else.
I wish they would play virtually anything else off that album it sucks that they essentially forget it exists
Excited they are playing so many new songs. Everything off the last album has been played to death and I'm glad the set is a decent length. I wish they'd throw in an older song or two besides Palette, but the band is evolving into something different so I get why they won't do that. Really looking forward to hearing the album on Friday now since they'll play a lot of it live on this tour.
