Gratitude was an American post-hardcore/alternative rock band, active only briefly in the early 2000s. The band was founded by Jonah Matranga, formerly of Far and later known for his solo work as onelinedrawing. Gratitude formed after Far’s breakup and was intended as a fresh, more melodic yet still emotionally intense project. They released a single self-titled album in 2003 on Atlantic Records and toured with bands like Jimmy Eat World and Thursday. Despite positive reception and growing momentum, the band broke up soon after due to internal and label-related issues. Although short-lived, Gratitude remains notable as an important chapter in Jonah Matranga’s career and is still remembered fondly by fans of early 2000s alternative rock. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of this genre-defining album, we are pleased to announce a new pressing. It has been remastered for vinyl and comes in updated packaging, as both a standard edition and a deluxe 2xLP edition. more Not all embedded content is displayed here. This is a great album. I snagged the white/green/yellow marble. By the time it arrives in March I’ll have forgotten and it’ll be a nice surprise.
