I don’t listen to Say Anything so I can’t relate to the comparison but I’ll have to start listening to them to understand

If you would prefer MCR worship to Say Anything worship (or if you would just like to hear MCR worship) check out their last album. Hyped for this.

In the Back reminds me particularly of this song

Checked this out because of the comments in the emo thread and... uh...

Wow I... I don't know about this... based off these two songs it's just too obviously SA-influenced that it does sound like a cover band @stars143 is right

Love SA so I’ll check em out. Don’t mind if they’re “too similar” we need another quirky emo band

  10. "In the Back" is cool but I don't really like the other song. Previous album doesn't seem to be for me.

SA are bad. This band is good.

    My bad take.

Even with all the comments I was still shocked. Super uncanny valley. Feels like a tribute band lol

EDIT: They even nailed the “heys heys” from IARB!

i dont hear much sa on their previous stuff, but if the new ones sound like them, this will be their best album

I'm not here to defend Bart but the tweet in that thread is false. He was not accused of sexual assaulting a minor. The incident in question was him bullying someone in high school to the point they contemplated committing suicide. He denied it and said the woman in question was manipulative. Obviously what he did is not okay, and I'm hopeful he learned from his mistake(s) (which since he was in high school, I'm hopeful he has done some growing up) but it's not helpful to spread around misinformation that someone is an abuser if they haven't actually been accused of being one.

I didn't follow it and seems most of the tweets have been deleted. Mom Jeans reaction to Bart's response is still up as of now:

It just...doesn't really help anybody when Mom Jeans is put in the same category as Tiny Moving Parts, Pinegrove, Jank, etc. under the guise of "cancelled bands" (which, honestly, Mom Jeans was never "cancelled").

I'm assuming if a lot of the tweets were deleted then perhaps both parties involved wanted to talk this over in private/did not want the information to be public anymore, but that's just an assumption.

Well, if you don't like the Say Anything imitation... you will not like this.

Did the band recently change their name? For some reason I thought they were just called Grad Life.
