Yeah I was fully expecting to have to Stubhub them but I got on right at 10 and got pretty great seats for $80
Everyone should listen to Song Exploder podcast where Damon and DRAM talk about Andromeda, it's a really good one. He also plays more of the version with more DRAM, which sounds pretty cool! But honestly, after hearing it I can kinda see how it wouldn't have fit as well in the album
Wow deluxe version is only 69 minutes, thought it would be longer This is a good thing btw Can't wait to listen
I keep refreshing my spotify for this to appear lol. Gonna hit up Amoeba this weekend and hunt down the vinyl. Also I just listened to The Fall for the first time yesterday. Definitely not as bad as a lot of people say it is. Was pretty relaxing to listen to at work.
Strobelite is far and away my favorite song so far. This is pretty good. Have never been a huge Gorillaz guy but always fucked with 1/2 songs per record.
I really like this. I'm glad I didn't play the singles out too much, because Let Me Out might be my favorite on here. Album is way shorter than I anticipated.
I'm halfway through and in the "wish it had more Damon" camp. I don't think I dislike a song yet, but it feels kind of like a mess in a lot of ways, his voice usually bound all the weird ideas together and he's just been used so little.
I wonder how it would feel to be Damon and see one of the most common critiques of your album is that you don't sing enough on it haha. I wonder how conflicting that feels Liked this record but definitely agree it could use a little more Damon. That said I think most of the guest spots were great and I'll be listening to this for a while for sure
This is the first Gorillaz album to not have a song I absolutely hate on my first listen of the album.
too, too true. I honesly haven't even read any since they changed their website layout. I don't ever even seen them anymore when I go to their page for news
Enjoyed this on my first listen. I do want more Damon, and it's clear to me that the Damon-heavy songs are my favorite parts of this album. Which must be why I really love the bonus songs on the deluxe version of this Overall a very summery album. I dig it.
