I want an entire album with the energy of momentary bliss

 

Gorillaz britpop album and it just sounds like Blur but no one wants to admit it

 

Man these bonus tracks are fucking great.

 

I want it to be a straight up funk album circa 1972

 

Only four songs in but I am enjoying this greatly so far.

 

"Captain Chicken" is VERY BAD haha

I love Captain Chicken. It gave me very strong early Gorillaz vibes

Not really feeling these bonus tracks, but they make the standard album sound better to me lol

 

Yeah it's fucking great

 

There's just a plethora of online who simultaneously hate their new stuff for being bland and boring and then hate it when they do anything that's even slightly classic or experimental because it's not exactly what they want

So many people just can't be happy and just want to hate to hate

 

These bonus tracks don't get to be good just because they're more experimental than the main album. They're experimental and bad.

 

I wasn't saying that. I'm just saying in general. Also Controllah is great. The rest are meh.

 

I think I’m an odd Damon fan because Plastic Beach is the only thing I listen to aside from The Good The Bad & the Queen.

With that weird context now established, I’ll let you know that I’m thoroughly enjoying this LP.

also I'm really starting to like Crocadillaz. throw a great 2D hook on there instead of all that empty space and it's a banger

Demon Days being their only other uk number 1 album is wild

 

Been obsessed with this for the last few days. With the exception of two tracks, I’m really into this glossy pop record they put together.

 

What tracks? Don't leave us hanging.

 

According to HitsDailyDouble this is debuting at #3 with 58k equivalents (43k pure album sales).

 

sorry. I skip Tormenta because it’s just not my thing and Possession Island because it just doesn’t fit with the more upbeat vibe of the rest of the tracks.
