The new song is so good. Can’t wait to hear more from these sessions. Produced by D James Goodwin who also plays the pedal steel. On instagram He alludes to them recording a whole album at his studio last year.
Another new song for tour opener last night by the name of Dr. Darkness. Available on Bandcamp. 24-minute Tumble too? Okay, okay.
Also...Pancakes (new song, originally by Peter's band Great Blue) is going to be an absolute wagon of a jam vehicle. This debut is a serious dance party.
It really kills me that I can't nail down who the singer sounds like. It really, really reminds me of someone else in Flodown. I want to guess someone in the Dispatch/Guster type scene but I can not for the life of me figure out who. A lot actually sounds like early Steel Train, how's that for a strange comparison
Love Rick's voice. Truly one of the X factors that makes them stand out, especially in the jam scene.
New album announced. New single released. Dripfield. I love this psychedelic dream pop direction the new studio singles have. thought we’d see some of the new live songs on the track list, like Silver Rising or Red Bird. this band has something new to keep you excited about just about every other day. Never had this much fun following a band.
Gave away my two tickets for free (am bopping around Europe right now). Hope that dude had fun haha. Seems like the first Dripfield was insane.
Man they should just play Empress of Organos 15 times every show. Incomparable level of grooviness in that building during that one
Kind of crazy that I've seen Phish and Goose in the same, more or less equally packed building now. Also some moron was like arguing with a lady trying to pour beers like "wow pretty huge crowd here huh!!" and she's like "well it's always a pretty huge crowd" and he's like "YEAH BUT ITS LIKE PHISH" lmao
Please educate me as a newcomer to this band & one that is not normally into jam band music or anything adjacent: what’s wrong with saying they’re like Phish? Just too lazy/easy or something else?
It’s a little inside baseball I guess, but it basically comes down to endless memes about who Phish will “pass the torch to” in the jam scene and this half-joking, half-serious flinging of shit between the fanbases.
Yoooo, this Dripfield debut from Gooseman. DAMN! The composed section sounds incredible and then both segments of the jam are absolutely wonderful. Instant stunner.
