There are definitely some awful ones but a some really good ones as well (and some id consider solid).
I never really thought about it before, but looking again at the lyrics now, how do you know it is pro-life (it could be though) and not, say, pro-animal rights (“Open cages and stop their luxurious murder”)? Not trying to argue, I’m just wondering if you know something I don’t about this song. Not that it would shock me, it was a “pro-life” song era. Happy Birthday by Flipsyde was a legit hit here. Though I guess that was more of a personal story rather than a blanket statement.
Ghost of You from Chronicles is a top 3 GC track for me. I really love those swelling keyboards in the chorus when the guitars drop out. This was the direction I wish the next few records had taken. Walk Away, Secrets, SOS and We Believe (straight cheese but I love it) are the others I usually revisit from that record.
I don’t know that for sure either haha. Just the impression that I get. But then again, I’ve never had to knock on wood.
I feel like they worked with PETA and I know that one of their members is really into animal rights so I think it really could be that
respect the opinion, it’s always been the one I’ve went back to. It always gave Silverchair Neon Ballroom vibes, which makes sense because Billy is a huge Silverchair fan.
I think they have a bigger draw than YC or AAR. They charted more singles on pop radio than either of them and they haven't done a full-scale tour since maybe 2018 or 2019? It sounds like they don't really have the desire to do a big tour but it'd be cool to see them do 5-10 shows next summer as part of a package tour. Something like Good Charlotte, Eve 6, American Hi-Fi, and Boys Like Girls would probably be able to pull 5k in major markets.
I remember thinking "This is the direction they should be going on their next album." And I ended up being WAYYYY off lol
