This is ripped directly from my GC CD I bought in 2001. 10 The Click.m4a Let me know if you need anything else from GC, I'm pretty sure I have almost everything.
I remember downloading the music video for The Click off kazaa and it took literally like a whole day lol.
I had no idea The Click wasn’t on the real album and was considered a bonus song up until like 2 or 3 years ago. The CD I got at a music festival they played at in 2001 had it on the 10th track and it’s listed on the linear notes etc. All my friends had CDs with The Click on it too. So maybe it was a repressing of the CD? It’s not the Japanese album either. Discogs has a similar CD saying it was issued on 2003 but that’s not the one I have.
The original had the full band ok the cover, including the original drummer. The newer version is just the black background with GC logo.
I bought this album at launch and it didn’t have The Click on it, and I had no idea that song existed for at least 2 years afterward lol
Wow, I don't think I've heard that song in 20 years! Will download it asap. Doesn't it have the same vocal melody as Man Overboard?
Pretty sure they recorded it during the middle of their first record cycle as it was the theme song (?) to whatever that show was? All i can remember is came out around similar time as their song on Not Another Teen Movie and The Innocent? They weren't massive yet but you could feel they were on the cusp around that time. They were already quite big in New Zealand, like i'd argue almost as popular as blink.
Looks like The Click first appeared on Australian CD single for The Little Things in March of 2001. So it’s definitely possible they recorded it along with the two versions of If You Leave during the same session.
Not that i love that first cd, but i regret not getting that vinyl pressing. Only got young and the hopeless. Was that enjoy the ride records i think?
Yeah, ETR did the pressing for both at the same time I believe. I bought a bundle with both albums if I'm not mistaken.
Self-Titled is still my favorite GC record. I have so many great memories and so much nostalgia tied to that record.
Same with The Young And The Hopeless a very close 2nd. I don’t think GC will ever make another album better than either of those 2 for me.
