Yes, because this cookie-cutter pop rock song is definitely reminiscent of the "authenticity" of Eazy-E and "Gin and Juice". I'm all for nostalgic songs (at least "1985" was a decent tune) but this is just kinda sad.
Dang. Was looking forward to this album... Not so much now. I don't think Simple Plan had a song that bad on their new one.
Did you listen to "i dont wanna go to bed" and "i dont wanna be sad"?, because those were way worse than this. is it as good as makeshift love? no, but it's still enjoyable to me (especially the chorus). They have said there will be a lot of different styles on this record, so i wouldn't let this one song be indicative of the album as a whole.
I really don't know what to think.. Part of me agrees with the songs message.. And part of me feels like wtf did I just listen to.
