Gone Is Gone is an American rock group formed in 2016. The band consists of Troy Sanders, the singer and bass player from Mastodon, Troy Van Leeuwen, one of the guitarists for Queens of the Stone Age, Tony Hajjar, the drummer for At the Drive-In, and Mike Zarin,[1] a multi-instrumentalist, composer and founder of Sencit Music who appeared with Van Leeuwen on Sweethead's Descent to the Surface.

More people should talk about this. The EP is dope and Echolocation is coming out on Rise so this should get some hype. Reminds me more of Failure and Hum than the bands the members are a part of.

Had not heard of this before, but really digging it, heavy but a good amount of groove. They also have a lyric video for the lead track, "Sentient".

Really like the EP. Will definitely check this out. I think the interludes and more ambient parts will be a lot better in on a long play.

    oh hell yeah

  8. One listen down and I like this quite a bit. The bass playing is especially good, which shouldn't be a surprise.

I also like that there are two people named Troy in this band.

scratched the itch this year that the failure reunion record did last year, decent space rock stuff. im more hopeful for a full length since the projects each member is known for (except the keyboard dude idk who tf he is) do better with more room to breathe

it'd take a lot longer than 20 years for any of those dorks to sound like either troy

I like Sanders' voice a lot more in an aggressive context.
