Looks good enough although I'm not sure how fulfilling it will feel. Also kinda surreal and hilarious to have Kurt Russell in this. I know he's not Van Damme or Chuck Norris but still.
Yeah. It’s from the film where Ghidorah is first revealed. The crew has them on when they investigate Planet X. Highly doubt we’ll get anything that crazy but it’s a nice homage.
The trailer came out before the poster? No idea when this is coming out, but it feels like they've been teasing it forever
Gareth Edwards recently watched Godzilla Minus One and said it will go down as “one of the best Godzilla films ever made”
Instead, Godzilla Minus One sticks to the original recipe. The movie that kicked it all off, 1954’s Godzilla, mixes horror, classic melodrama, and a feverish anti-war message to mine the anxieties of ’50s Japan. Minus One isn’t a period piece in aesthetic alone: The story itself feels like something preserved from the 1950s. Yamazaki steeps it in the melodrama of a classic historical epic. His characters are capital-R Romantic, constantly making bold proclamations and grand sacrifices, discussing heavy topics where modern characters would quip about eating shawarma. Koichi and his companions debate the power of nonviolence, the value of self-preservation, and the unjust expectations governments put upon their populations in times of war. The latter point makes Godzilla Minus One a surprisingly potent pairing with Hayao Miyazaki’s animated semi-biopic The Wind Rises, and a timely response to Japan’s current military buildup. Godzilla Minus One is the throwback Godzilla fans have been waiting for A fan reaction, FWIW "I was shown a preview of Godzilla Minus One, and it was incredibly interesting. A strong anti-war movie. However, at the same time, there were many scenes that made me think I wanted to see this kind of battle, so I couldn't help but get excited. I've seen every Godzilla movie, but this one is now my favorite. It will make you cry and touch your heart in many ways. It is a masterpiece."
