Official synopsis Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters tracks two siblings following in their father's footsteps to uncover their family's connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga - spanning three generations - reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives. Worth noting that Shaw is also in the Godzilla: Awakening comic. We’ll probably get some scenes of Castle Bravo and, quite possibly, Hiroshima and Nagasaki - due to Japan being one of the filming locations and the story beats from Awakening
Seems to be, yeah, other than the flashbacks to the 50s. Probably between ‘14 and KOTM. Kurt doesn’t look to be in his mid-80s, but whatever lol
Would be cool if this was connected to Godzilla Minus One somehow due to the late-40s/50 setting and both releasing this fall. November: Minus One Fall: Legacy of Monsters March: The New Empire Us Goji fans are eating good.
Dougherty confirmed that Godzilla never fought Ghidorah 1v1 until KOTM and was assisted by other Titans in prehistoric times. Time for the Anguirus skeleton and sunken city theories to come back.
