Since he just watched KOTM on hbo again, feel the need to say that for kindergarten he specifically asked for a Godzilla backpack so he has a Godzilla vs. Ghidora backpack and matching lunch box haha.

Also just want to say again KOTM is underrated and it woulda been better if they built on the Mothra/Godzilla relationship a bit because I really really love the mother blast at the end. Gets cooler every time I see the wings and hear the mothra cry

 

Criterion is releasing the original 1954 film on 4K this November 5.

 

The Chinese investment firm, which owned part of the MonsterVerse, and had a say in productions is now out. Legendary can make MonsterVerse movies on their own. Or at least in conjunction with Toho (not 100% on this part but people in r/godzilla are saying this).

I was hesitant about buying the 5-film set due to a 6th film being on schedule, but it’s the only way to get the deleted scene with Akira Takarada from the 2014 film. Really wish Monarch would get a physical release.

I started a rewatch of this with my niece and nephew (they didn't finish it) but I'm starting to feel another one
Really enjoy this dumbass movie.
