The villain for Godzilla and Kong has apparently leaked and…..wow

according to the leak

SpaceGodzilla will have the crystals and will also use plant DNA from the Hollow Earth (similar to his Biollante connection in the Heisei films) which brings him in conflict with Kong. Kong will then need to locate and team up with the real Godzilla to defeat him.

Rewatching this now. Others may disagree (Unlike Godzilla '14 less than some and King of the Monsters more than others), but this is pretty much the definition of a three-star movie/franchise. Fun, easy to watch, and mostly feels like Godzilla movies despite the fact that the humor and futuristic tech feel somewhat forced. Don't quite care about the returning characters, either. But I'll watch a new one pretty much every time and probably enjoy it to some extent.

 

Recommendations for favorite Godzilla flicks aside from the original? I've seen that one, Godzilla vs. King Kong, King Ghidorah, and am watching Mechagodzilla now.

Also I am an insane 90s baby that genuinely enjoys Godzilla '98 lol

 

I think Shin Godzilla was fantastic

 

Mothra vs Godzilla (1964) is great.

Does Godzilla vs Biollante hold up? I know its a bit weird but the monster part is fantastic

 

It has some cheesy 80s action hero moments but it is at least entertaining. I’d recommend Biollante over almost all of the Showa era.

 

There’s a fun chronology to follow in the Godzilla Heisei era, where basically every other movie is good.

Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (my personal fav aside from the original)

This skips a couple (Godzilla and Mothra: Battle for Earth and Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla) but I don’t think they’re essential. If you really enjoy the 90s vibes as well, you’ll get plenty of those here haha.

Of course there’s plenty others to choose from, especially from the Showa era (1954-1975), but I had my friend start with this and he had a blast.

 

GMK is a pretty solid film. I also don’t mind 2000 but that’s mostly due to nostalgia.

 

Anybody know the best place to track down the 80s-00s Godzilla flicks? Plex, etc? Running out of the older ones to watch and it doesn't appear that era of films is really streaming anywhere.

 

I had to download them. Sony doesn’t care too much about putting those films on streaming services.

 

I wonder if there's any good deals on a bundle (digital or physical) somewhere.

 

Last I saw you can rent them from Apple/iTunes.
