Still haven't seen the original version of this but absolutely loved the minus color version I saw. I hope they do something similar again except this time I'll see both.

 

Kinda jealous you saw minus color without seeing the original before, although no way in hell I would have been able to wait.

 

That was my experience as well and I don't particularly feel the need to seek out the color version

 

I have zero desire to see any movie in black and white unless it was filmed to be so.

 

I think it was always intentional to have that version come out but idk. It certainly felt 'authentic' and not like an after thought.

Somehow wasn't on my radar till the minus color was all that was out. The sequel will be. Absolutely loved it.

 

Spoiled because we haven't announced it yet, but for our Horror Fest's biggest headlining event this year, we are showing the original 1954 film with our local orchestra doing the score. It's going to be awesome

It’s possible. I truly don’t know in this instance. I have no problem watching older movies in black and white or anything modern that chooses to do so. Just don’t get the hype of rewatching a movie solely to see it in black and white.
