Yep. I’ve got kids so I have a hard time finding any time to go see very many movies, and December - January were also insanely busy so I never really had an open minute to see it. May ‘Zilla forgive me. I now must settle for the big mech hand gorilla transformer movie.

 

Plot twist: Godzilla X Kong is secretly an Optimus Primal origin story.

Such a bummer that they can't capitalize on their Oscar. The best chance folks will have to see it is pirating Blu-Ray rips later this spring, which isn't ideal. Godzilla x Kong looks awful. It stinks that it takes precedence over something so lovingly made.

 

Completely unrelated to Minus One, but this cool little short was making the rounds on Twitter.

 

So lame this movie isn't able to move to streaming/physical due to the god forsaken incoming dumpster fire of Kong vs. Godzilla. Like of course I'll go see it and have fun with it, but I think the whole time I'll be thinking: "fuck, I wish I could just go watch Minus One"

 

Did a screener for this leak before/around award season at all?

Shin Godzilla being honey mustard amuses me.

 

I’m in Tokyo right now for the first time, obviously going to hit a bunch of Godzilla related locales and such, but seeing Minus One on the big screen here is very tempting.

 

Aside from the official store in Shinjuku (which is less than a 10 minute walk from Toho cinemas and Godzilla road), you have a good hobby store with some old Godzilla merch https://g.co/kgs/HD6mok8 - just take the red Chuo line and it's a straight way there (10 minutes).
