I’ve seen rumors that they’ve been quietly collecting the rights to some Heisei era films, as well. Would love for them to also put out some form of a Heisei/Millenium/Reiwa set to go along with their Showa one.

 

There have been reports from fan showings that Return of Godzilla and Biollante are now under Janus. I love my Showa collection. A Heisei collection under Criterion seems inevitable, although I’m expecting them to wait until they hit a milestone, similar to how the Showa collection was spine #1000
