just finishing this, the first three or so episodes have a totally different vibe from the rest, the back half of this season is so great

 

i need more episodes now, hahaha. one of the best things i've watched this year, definitely. hope this breaks out. haven't liked a new netflix show in a long time

 

after a weekend of trying to keep up with a three year old, i'm definitely rewarding myself tonight with a binge of the last six i have to watch

I don't even remember johnny Mundo being in it, TBH I had no idea at all Kate Nash or kong were even in the cast either lol I just turned it on and enjoyed

 

Mundo was the trainer in the first episode

 

I hope Kate's new record is good. I didn't like the last two very much.

 

Was there a reason Chavo Sr. had a memoriam at the end of that one particular episode, aside from the Chavo Jr. and Mando connections?

 

He died mid-production so I'm sure it was just a nod to the family.

 

Watched two episodes last night, this show is fantastic.

Haven't listened to her since MySpace, used to love her. I didn't recognize her at all.

 

It took me until she sang the GLOW theme. I was like, 'This is pretty bad. Why do I recognize that voice...'

I am so dumb. totally did not realize welfare queen was awesome kong. she was fantastic.

great season and excited for more. loved the swerve at the end too

 

The girlfriend and I binged the whole thing this weekend. This by far the best original Netflix release in a long time...while the first couple episodes were a bit dark, the back half of the season was phenomenal. My only complaint is that the episodes flew by and the season felt a bit short. I wish they would have given them a full 13 so they really could have fleshed out some of the characters more especially some of the ladies that didn't get enough screen time. Regardless, I need season 2 now.

 

What's the tone of this like? Is it a comedy? drama? Excited to check it out based on the cast and reviews, but won't have a chance for another week or two probably.

 

definite comedy, some darker bits but the tone is almost entirely humorous

 

I think it's the best Kohan show so far. Allie and Marc kill their roles.

 

i don't feel great comparing this to weeds or orange because kohan is just a producer, not the creator like the other two

 

Awesome. I assumed it had humor in it, but I was thinking it would be a bit more serious. Glad to hear it leans more towards the comedy side.

 

Ah yes you are right. Makes sense.

 

Really enjoyed this. Assumed I would after hearing that Chavo was helping with this. They really need to show more of the mid-match ref chats. Those had me fucking rolling.

 

Also, I fell head over goddamn heels for Britt Baron.
