Let’s go!

 

I tapped on a Spotify playlist called “punk unplugged” just to see what they had on it, and this title track was the first song to come up on shuffle. I get that genres are bullshit but in what world is that song punk or unplugged lol. How are people paid to make playlists sometimes so bad at it

 

They seem to treat genres more like vibes over there

 

I don’t know how big Gleemer ever was but I feel like they are low key very influential for modern shoegaze music. Their type of sound is very popular. I don’t know where modern shoegaze bands are getting their influences but a lot of them sound like Gleemer.

 

Probably doesn’t hurt that Corey produces a bunch of stuff too. He’s worked with Milly, Soft Blue Shimmer, Prize Horse, Modern Color, and Trembler just to name a few

Seems like Gleemer’s new record will be called End of the Nail. Tracklist on instagram

 

New single out Friday I think. Could even be a full album drop. Not sure
