just hope the production is better than their last two projects

Coloring Book was 28 minutes. 6 songs.

This is their first full-length since 2002... I just expected longer than 37 minutes. Especially for 12 songs.

It's possible like you said for a couple really short songs or interludes... seems like we won't have to wait much longer to find out though.

 

listening to Our Color Green now and whilst I love all of these songs, the production is so damn tinny sounding. takes me out of it

 

there's no low end in the bass and drums. honestly re-running the tracks through a sub bass-bus in logic might've solved all their problems.

 

Started an album thread. I’m hoping it sounds a little like that new UN track.

God damn I hope this is real! I wish New White Extremity wasn't the opener, though I suppose it does have the energy for it.

 

Also, the production on Our Color Green isn't great, but I've never had a problem with Coloring Book. That EP sounds great.

Whaaaa? I can hear that for Our Color Green, but I feel like we must be listening to different versions of Coloring Book.

Haha no worries. I 100% agree with you for Our Color Green.

 

I just imported the songs into logic, had a saturator run over it and a sub bass bus (plus a little tube pre amping) and it sounds much nicer and warmer. I’ll upload a bounce a little later maybe someone else will get a kick out of it.

 

what I'm trying to say is: All Good Junkies Go To Heaven is a banger even if you can only listen through your phone's speakers.

 

I'm pretty happy I haven't watched too many live videos of new songs this time around. I should be able to go into this one relatively fresh.

eh, I mean technically, sure, but you'd want the stems for that or the very least an unmastered wav. this is more like putting lipstick on a pig haha
