How happy I am to realize the show I went to was a seriously random one off headliner show for Glassjaw from a Used tour in which they open for and play less songs than what I saw. My life is good to me lately.
in an alternate timeline we're all sitting here waiting for Glassjaw to announce their 7th album and just thinking to ourselves "god damn this band can do no wrong they have so much great material" thats not to say i dont adore W&T and pretty much everything that followed but still wouldnt it be nice
The alternate universe where they basically are the post-hardcore Every Time I Die would sure be nice haha
Idk man I think ETID could’ve used 2 fewer albums. They used to be my favorite band but man shit feels stale at this point.
I guess the album was supposed to come out last year, but whatever label they had signed with didn't think it was good enough. The album is *supposedly* called Material Control. Buncha new shit in this video.
I’m actually surprised they aren’t self-releasing. Lord knows they have the means to do so. If we’re talking actual labels I’m guessing Rise or Epitaph
they were in talks with Vice Records but key people left so it fell through, I'm assuming they went to another label afterwards (i don't think they were told "it's not good enough" by vice, assuming it was a diff label) This is what I was talking about a couple of years ago btw
Also, I guess some guy on the board had an interview scheduled with Daryl for a few days ago but it was cancelled because they were "going to do press in December" so.... take that for what it's worth
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0776222GC/ A RELEASE DATE!!!! DECEMBER FIRST MOTHERFUCKERS! Edit: Run Time seems suspicious. 37 minutes? 12 songs? I dunno now.
because purely mathematically the average song length would be 2:05 if it was 12 songs at 37 minutes.
