What the fuck risk is one of the best songs on the album

 

I just can't do that hook man, it's too on the nose for me. Riffs are heavy and I like the keys, but the song itself just doesn't do it for me.

 

Wait even if Risk was a good song, what songs are WORSE than it?

The riff at 1:55 of Bibleland 6 (Chorus?) is totes an ETID riff off Gutter Phenomenon.

 

Is the riff from Champing At The Bit? That would be appropriate.

 

I haven't listened to Gutter in awhile but the riff sounded familiar as fuck. Then I piece together it was similar to an ETID riff and I rounded it down to Gutter lol. I could be totally wrong.

Definitely in my top 5 records of this year. I didn't get it after 1st listen though.

Real talk, has anyone received their pre-order bundles?

I assumed they'd arrive on the 1st or 2nd but I've got nothing... even just an email saying the order is in the mail would ease my mind some.

The order confirmation email says 3-5 days processing... maybe they sent them off Thursday and we'll get them early next week... I dunno.

I'm just excited to open a CD for the first time in years. And to have official lyrics. I'm generally not a lyrics person but I've been digging this record so much and the vocal mix is so low I think it'll increase my appreciation to get the "whole picture".

 

listening to W&T for the first time in a few years and, man, Daryl’s performance on “Stuck Pig” still gets me

 

I put Material Control #2 on my EOTY list. In the past 3 days I must've listened to this record 15-20 times. It'll probably end up #1, really. My top pick has been my standout favorite since January and I don't know if MC will have that lasting power with me... I'm leaning towards yes.
