never been too crazy about this band but i'm giving this a shot. i liked the single a lot

In fairness, I understand the sentiment... if "too chaotic" is a line that's possible for GJ to cross for you, you're gonna find out in the middle section of this lol

 

i like this a lot and it's gonna grow on me but boy is it weird

 

my first kneejerk reaction after 1 listen is that beck brought it hard, but i can't help but be annoyed a little by darryl's constant dragging one word on over and over with no real sense of melody.

really wish we had some epic stars or john lennon moments of chaos on here.

 

too chaotic, not enough chaos, some of y'all certainly downloaded the wrong album

 

I’m not in love with the production, and I don’t see that really changing, but I just listened for the 3rd time and I can already feel it starting to grow on me big time.

Only song I’m not really into is Closer atm.

 

My only gripe with the production is it sounds like the guitar is mixed more heavily in the right ear and the bass in the left, I wish it were more balanced

the Deftones comparison is so lazy but Citizen really is quite Deftonesy

 

My only gripe is a wish it was longer I can't get enough

 

I love that if you are down on the record, you’re a garbage human, dispenser of hot-takes, who can’t even listen to music right.

Call it a masterpiece however, you’re true scholar of the ‘core who just fucking Gets It.

I'm saving my 3rd listen for when I get home from work. The 2nd listen was so much more enjoyable. I picked up on so many little details. Work is too distracting of an environment for these early listens.

I can already see it now. February rolls around and I'm already burned out on it. Then I"ll go nine months without listening to it, then do it all over again.
