This is one hell of an album.

 

I caved, I was too excited.

Beck's guitar work is really at the forefront here. I feel he's taking center stage and the vocals are taking a step back to let him shine.

 

I love the bass tone in this.

 

Loving it. Worthy of an avatar change!

 

His delivery of that line was definitely not what I expected lol

 

good god the guitar is doing SO MANY THINGS all the time!

 

It's also heavier than I was expecting, but not a punch you in the face heavy. It has this heaviness to it that I can't explain.

 

I'd use the term "frantic"

 

it's very thick.

 

"Closer" is aggressive. I love it

i regret using that word already. ugh, i can hear that trash can snare in my head.

 

Cut and Run is a little too short. I wish they continued on with the guitar at the end.

 

I think that's the 'meta' part someone was saying earlier. That and something about the lyrics... I don't remember the line off-hand though.

This feels like a proper, natural progression and follow up to W/T. Crazy that it's 15 years later.
