So maybe M. Night just needed to get a lot of shitty movies out of his system to cleanse the palette for these bangers

 

I love that the first chunk of the trailer is just Sarah Paulson talking, this should be the standard for all trailers

this looks really good. maybe I should watch Split. I dont like suspense movies cause they give me anxiety, but man Glass looks great. I also dont remember a thing about Unbreakable since I only saw it once and it was when it was in the theatre

 

I hope all three characters sitting together in a psych ward being lectured on superheroes and villains isn't as on the nose and forced in the movie as the trailer makes it seem.

Lol yeah sorry. I absolutely adored Split, and I remember really enjoying Unbreakable back in the day.

 

After really liking Split, I decided to go back and watch Unbreakable after having never seen it. Unfortunately, I didn't like it anywhere near as much and really kinda disliked it. I liked the characters in the movie though, so I'm optimistic about this one.

 

Yeah I have no doubt it probably doesn’t really hold up that well now. Though for a 6th grader I loved it at the time.

 

I didn’t like Split all that much, and when the surprise ending happened I honestly thought it was a joke, but this actually looks pretty good. I am intrigued.

 

The focus on the superhero/comic-book theme is a little off-putting. Feels like an MCU Shyamalan movie trailer lol.

Will be watching though.

 

Excited to see how this plays out. The tone of the M Night’s trailers always throw me off, so I’m cautiously optimistic.

 

I never got the feeling that Kevin thought they were a superhero? That aspect feels a little forced.

But yeah, I'm fucking down. I should probably watch Unbreakable

 

His therapist hinted at it. They are “more” than the rest of us, not disabled.

 

I just rewatched unbreakable for the first time since originally seeing it in theaters. Now I remember why I havent seen it again in 18 years. Still basically a snooze fest.
