Gia Margaret - There's Always Glimmer (July 27, 2018) Album

Got rec'd this by a friend and uhhh holy shit it's absolutely beautiful??? No discussion of her on this site from what I can tell so let's start doing that right now

 

Yeah, this is great, like everything on Orindal.

 

She released a few couple of collab songs today with Novo Amor. This is the first I’m hearing of her but I love it, will be checking this record out over the weekend

 

I can't believe Chorus has slept so much on her, but yeah she's great. Can't wait for her next album.

Seeing her tomorrow and very excited. I'm guessing the announcement is her next album, so I'm going to try and ask her if it's coming out next year.

Chicago folks: She's playing at The Hideout tomorrow. Show starts at 8:30.

 

She had to cancel her set tonight because of throat issues but she’s playing with Iron & Wine in January so I’m going to try and catch that if I can.

The song is beautiful. She reminds me a lot of Tomberlin (which makes sense since they are friends and I was supposed to see them together before Gia got sick and had to drop). I hope this second release puts her more in the conversation with folks like Tomberlin, Phoebe, Julien, Skullcrusher, etc.
