I just watched the first Ghostbusters for the first time in probably 10 years and the second one for the first time ever. The first one really isn't that funny lol, it's a really fun movie and I still enjoyed it a lot but I don't think it made me actually laugh a single time. As an adventure movie it's great though

The second one was not nearly as good and seems noticeably more oriented towards kids but it was still decent. I also did not realize how little Ernie Hudson gets to do in both of these movies, he's barely even a character

So clearly I do not have much nostalgia for these movies lol but I'm still weirdly really excited for this

 

I’ve never liked the second film. Even as a kid I couldn’t stand the villain’s face. I just wanted to punch him.

 

Neither one is that great honestly.

 

The main joke in the first one is Bill Murray doing sex crimes

 

and Aykroyd getting a ghost beej

 

And slimer and his hot dogs

 

They’re okay, I guess, but I don’t care what you say about this clip because this is definitely great.

 

I don’t see how anyone could watch the first one and not laugh.

“And the flowers are still standing”. That line gets me every time. Or that guy in the park after Louis goes bonkers... “what an asshole”.

Good god my body is ready. Needs more Bobby brown though.

 

I am so excited about this. I fucking love Paul Rudd.

 

original ghostbusters is very good without being worldbeating or anything. weird how evidently all these man childs/man children view it as some type of sacred text

i completely intend to go into this film with good faith should i see it but wow does this not make it any easier
