The premise of this movie is so fucking stupid.

I mean the premise of the original is so fucking stupid too haha, looks fun though.

 

If there’s one thing I am worried about though it’s the kid from Stranger Things shitty acting. Girl from Fuller House seems good.

Finn Wolfhard’s never been the worst part of anything he’s been in, including horrible shit like “It 2” and “The Turning.”

 

Yeah Finn Wolfhard is a fine actor, nothing wrong with any of his performances

 

I'm rewatching the original for the first time in a long time. Forgot how much I loved it. Moranis is just the best.

They confirm that 69-year-old Dan Aykroyd, 70-year-old Bill Murray and 75-year-old Ernie Hudson will be suiting up again. Woof.

The tone of these two trailers is fucking bonkers to me. It's a sequel to a couple super goofy comedies...

I hope they do a new Caddyshack and approach it with the same misguided reverence

 

Mostly I just appreciate they're doing something completely different.

It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario. They make something totally different and people say "that's not how the old movies were". They make something very similar and people say "this is just a pointless retread".

Since they can't ever win, I'm glad they at least went in the more interesting direction.

 

I'm cautiously optimistic about this. That new trailer is pretty good.

After watching the trailer, I do have the sudden urge to shop at Wal-Mart.

 

Totally agree. Tone feels like a Transformers movie.

 

The trailer felt uncannily like a Disney-era (particularly Abrams) Star Wars trailer, in a bad way. I already wasn’t particularly invested in this, but that really confirms this just isn’t gonna be for me.

Hopefully it ends up being full of good vibes for the people who are invested in it. *shrug*
