From Bandcamp, if anyone's curious: All songs by Georgia Maq. All songs co-produced by Georgia Maq and Katie Day in her bedroom - except Track 1 & 5 (produced by Darcy Baylis). Vocals recorded at Holes & Corners Studio by Sam Johnson. Bass on Track 8 by Kyle Pulley. All songs mixed by Katie Dey. Mastered by Mikey Young.
Georgia has always sounded incredible but her vocals on here are just straight up massively powerful.
Like A Shadow and Big Embarrassing Heart are my initial favorites, but each listen has been better than the last.
Wait what the fuck I read this album's press release yesterday and went "sick I'll need to check this out when it comes out next year" and somehow completely glazed over the fact that it was an album release press release
The first two songs and last two songs are huge. Rest of the album is still quite good but she did a great job with the ordering to start you with a "wow" and end you with a "wow"
also Georgia messed up and should totally play at Gold Sounds down the street. I mean, it is her namesake after all.
Been getting roped back into this album lately. Really need to make this Brooklyn show work for me (but seriously it's Queens get it right!).
Jeez I was actually considering skipping her show in Brooklyn because it was too much of a trek. But nah no way will I feel ok missing it now.
