with me, I like to level up EVERYONE and thats the problem I came across, I don’t necessarily have four main characters that I use, but I think I need to narrow that down since im leveling up like four or five characters in ZZZ lol
Yeah that spreads your resources wayyyyy too thin lol. I only level who I'm actually using cuz you've only got so much energy to use in farming. HSR seems to be the most generous, or at least since I'm not leveling anyone ATM lol. ZZZ is super stingy and expensive. If you do ever get back in genshin, tell me who's on your roster and I'll come up with a core 4 that you should focus on.

Yeah considering energy is so limited, it's best to focus on just your core team. Although hoyo games tend to be element/attribute based, with the right equipment and levels you can overpower and brute force enemies. Also later down the road after farming and doing dailies for months you'll be swimming in resources. And since ZZZ is so new, and feedback from players is key right now I do see them making changes. But yeah, focusing on just a core team means all your peer is going to then, because since it IS so expensive, you're not gonna be using more than that team at any given moment so it makes sense just to focus on them. Well right off the bat you've got Zhongli.lm so you can be invincible basically lol. I still use him in my main teams to this day he's that good. His skill is to create a shield that makes you invincible AND causes defense shred so you can just do whatever you want really. Some teams off the top of my head Jean/Zhongli/Fischl/Bennet Jean/Zhongli/Fischl/Rosaria Jean/Zhongli/Xiangling/Kaeya If you plan on getting Keqing with the selector you could do Keqing/Zhongli/Xiangling/Rosaria. Important thing is how elements react. Right now the only element you're missing is dendro, which was introduced after you quit and right now that's the strongest elemental reaction as you can combine dendro with hydro with electro for really powerful resctions whereas with other elements it's just a 2 element reaction. Yeahhh since the PS4/5 was the exclusive console it got limited stuff in the beginning. Don't worry she's not good lol.
Literally read up on the character selector thing being in the next version and holy shit KEQING IS THERE. YOU WILL BE MINE FINALLY ahem, anyway im gonna pick the keqing/zhongli/xiangling/rosaria bc seems to be the best option imo. Also the fact that i quite literally missed a whole ass element bc I dropped the game right around it is bad timing
Yeah there's any dendro character in the selector but Keqing is Keqing lol. I get it, I spent way too much money at launch trying to get her and got Venti 3 times lol. As soon as you get a dendro character I'd do Keqing/Zhongli/Fish/dendro. Fish is probably one of the best off field supported for dendro reactions. You could even try a Keq/Zhongli/Fish team and slot in whoever you feel plays well in order to getting used to Fish. Both Xiangling and Rosaria are support dps that you swap in and use their skill and swap out since Keq is your main dps and she works well with both elements. I'd personally do Rosaria, as superconduct (electro and cryo) is a great elemental reaction.
Hell yeah. It's a lot to get through but if you just focus on the MSQ you'll be fine. Right now I'd say the only goal would be doing the story and getting to Sumeru (after Inazuma) so the MC can unlock dendro power, then you can play around with dendro reactions. Enjoy! And any questions just ask! I liked Inazuma cuz Raiden :] People loved Sumeru and I was kinda meh, but Fontaine is hands down what everyone agrees is Genshin's best story and characters. So I'll definitely say you're in for a treat!
Oh and in case I didn't express it enough earlier......Zhongli is GOD mode lol. I usually just roll for waifus but I got him just because he's THAT good and he's future proof. He just elevated your lineup so feel good that you have him.

There's also a hoyo app for mobile that let's you redeem codes too while also allowing for daily check-ins, web events, guides, etc. It doesn't do these small random codes for some reason but the bigger official codes that hoyo does for all the stream reveals of upcoming patches.
