As I have said on here multiple times, sports gambling should be legal. What should not be legal is the amount of advertising and brand integration that has been allowed, treat that like cigarettes. I think that should also be applied to alcohol and weed as well.

The ripping off the band aid without any thought of the side effects and potential issues has been the go to move for many, many things in this country and this is just another one on that list.

I still have no idea what the best outcome here is for the Syrian people. Assad was generally seen as "moderate" like Saddam right? But then you hear all the horror stories so it's hard to be sympathetic to him. The kurds always seem to be victims of whoever over there. Eh, don't get me wrong, just because it's not AQ doesn't mean it's not Islamist. The comp is Taliban, nationalist jihadism. Still very conservative obviously.
