Generally think I’m doing okay with covid stuff, but once every few weeks or months i slip into a pretty miserable depression. I went through therapy a few years ago when i was in Ohio, but need to find someone to see up here in Chicago. My insurance will cover a therapist, but my first visit won’t have hit the deductible and would cost me $400, so I’m trying to save up for it. Also, I am trying to hold off until January because I’d have to pay the deductible off a second time if I don’t. And I have “great” health insurance, too. Makes me utterly horrified for people who can’t get the help they need when they need it, if I’m one of the lucky people who has insurance and can see a therapist. The fact that we’re no closer to Medicare for All, and no improvement over the status quo is on the horizon, makes my blood boil. It’s moments like this I’m pretty much going full Robespierre.
