The SC absolutely has a legitimacy crisis. The 2016 election basically fucked us for the rest of my life and put that in play, so, that's where we are.

I agree, we need stimulus money now regardless. But we also need an incentive for people to take the vaccine especially when so many people say they won’t take it

 

I mean you gotta just make the vaccine free and available to all including the undocumented, I don’t think that QAnon “vaccines cause autism” folks would take it even if they got a government check haha especially if the check is coming from the Biden White House.

 

Yeah I saw him say something a few days ago and was like hmmm...not a bad idea.

the biggest problem with it is you ideally want to give people a stimulus regardless.

But, we are gonna need a way to incentivize people to get this vaccine.

I mostly like the idea.

My biggest concern is there are a lot of vulnerable people whose health legitimately does not allow them to take the vaccine. These people will be at increased risk as the vaccine rolls out, because there will be more of a push to send society back to normal. Any relief needs to cover them too.

The question is, how do you weed out the people who legit can't take the vaccine from the people who find a quack doctor who says they don't have to take the vaccine?

Not sure about the rest of the country today, but in my area it’s really nice today. Sunny and 70 degrees (which is really nice for this time of year). For those who are still having their gatherings, hopefully that means they have planned it for outside or at least inside with windows open.
